About This Product:

This is a 3-Chamber pillow. The center chamber is filled with duck feather, which provides great, resilient support. The feather core makes up about 90% of the total fill weight. The outer chambers are filled with 550 loft duck down, which adds some softness and luxury to the pillow. Down Perfect™ pillows combine the firmness of feather with the softness of down for the best of both worlds! The outer shell of this pillow is crisp 255 thread count cotton.

The Medium weight is a real crowd-pleaser, and works for front, back and side sleepers. It is firm enough for side sleeping but not so hefty that it props the head up too much for front and back sleeping. If you sleep only/primarily on your side or like a really firm and substantive pillow, go with the Firm version!

Care

This pillow should be used with a pillow case and a zippered pillow cover/protector at all times. Failure to do so will cause premature wear and invalidate the warranty. A properly covered pillow will help eliminate stains and the build up of body oils, dirt, and dust. This will also help allergy sufferers.

Take your down and feather pillow outdoors periodically and air it or place in the dryer on a low heat/cool cycle. This helps maintain its freshness, fluffiness and insulating qualities.

Prior to use, shake the pillow vigorously to help fluff up the down and feather. It will take about 1 week of use before the outer fabric softens up and the down and/or feather lofts up to its full potential.

There may be a slight odour as a result of having been stored in the packaging, but it will disappear within the first week of use.

This product should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated closet or room when not in use in order to prevent mildew growth.

Cleaning Instructions:

A properly maintained pillow should require cleaning approximately once a year, with normal use. It may be cleaned more or less often depending on use.
Your pillow is covered in 100% cotton and filled with natural down and feather. It will shrink if washed, possibly causing puckering in the stitching and loss of the filling.
Should your pillow need cleaning, have it DRY CLEANED or PROFESSIONALLY WASHED by a reputable cleaner that specializes in cleaning down and/or feather products.
DO NOT attempt to machine wash or dry clean this product yourself. If the filling stays even slightly damp, the down and/or feather will clump together and may allow mildew growth.
Small spots or stains may be removed by holding the fabric away from the filing and using warm water and mild soap. To dry, use a hair dryer on low heat.

Feathers still poke and escape

The pillow fluffs up nicely and provides adequate support. Any feather pillow will poke a little, but even with two pillow protectors and a pillow case feather still escape from this pillow and poke through more than I’d like (and more than other feather/down combo pillows we own). I’ve been using it for a month so I wouldn’t feel right trying to return it, but I think I’ll try the all-down version next.

Hi JD, Thank you so much for your review! With any down or feather product, the occasional piece of fill will escape. Even downproof shells are not 100% impermeable. However, there shouldn't be a lot of feather coming out. If your pillow is leaking, that would be considered a manufacturing defect, which qualifies for repair or replacement under warranty. Please feel free to submit a claim if needed!
Down pillows are much different than the Down Perfect Pillows you purchased. Down is very delicate and doesn't have much heft to it, so it makes for very soft, minimally-supportive pillows. Most people need more support than a down pillow can provide! I'd recommend consulting with our team before your next purchase to make sure you get something you'll be happy with.

Neck relief

I have bought many many different pillows over the last ten years. Formed, gel, wool, latex bits you add or subtract…. so this pillow was another maybe. My hope was to relieve my right stiff shoulder, sore or stiff neck and to stop the tossing and turning for comfort before I fell asleep. It’s been a month or so and I am happy with this pillow. I can form the pillow into the hollow between neck and shoulder for just the right support. My head sits low not high wth proper neck support. I recommend it.

Loved the pillows I ordered. Such high quality. As soon as I opened it and lightly squished it to wake it up, it expanded to a voluminous fill. Thick white cotton outside.

Love this pillow!

I have been diagnosed with arthritis in my neck. Very painful. So much so I could not get comfortable sleeping. I tried several different pillows before finally finding the perfect one. This it it. I can mold it into my neck to feel immediate relief. But then in the morning I fluff it up just like new again. I also like that it is reasonably priced.

Best pillow I could have found

I spent quite a bit of time looking for a new pillow. I was used to goose down, but did not want to pay the prices. I took a chance getting goose and feather and I have no regrets whatsoever. The price was so amazing and I absolutely love my new pillow And will be buying more! I am someone who sleeps in numerous positions. The fact that they had a refund policy and no charge for delivery was a plus it told me they stood by their products ! The delivery was fast and even came with little added surprises ! They have my business !
