Down is a very soft, delicate material that doesn't have the heft or structure to provide much support in pillows. It also happens to be quite expensive per ounce. It is important to note that more expensive does not necessarily mean 'better'. The best pillow for you depends on your personal preference, sleeping position, body size/shape, etc. While down pillows work well for some people, many people need more support than they can provide. We offer a variety of pillows to suit different sleep styles. It sounds like you may be better suited with a pillow containing feather. Finally, we do provide free returns for unused product within 30 days. I know it can be hard to gauge the support level without using the pillow, but we recommend giving it a good feel between your hands when you receive it.
