Couette en duvet d'oie huttérite 850 Loft

Very fluffy and warm duvet, looking forward to many years of enjoyment.

Was looking for a Canadian made duvet and cover! I ordered the xl king in both all season and absolutely love it! My only criticism is that there is only four inside fasteners to keep the duvet in place! Four more on the sides would have solved the sliding issue. Signed Warm in Ontario

I probably over did it by buying the warmest version of the comforter, but this is a long term investment so I wanted to make sure I was going to be warm under most conditions. I tried but could not use the comforter in Sept, but it finally got cool enough outside in Oct to use it. This duvet is really warm so I have to stick my feet and/or arms out to ventilate and reduce the heat, but that's better than being cold. This duvet will really get tested in the next few months as the bedroom is kept unheated. Compared to my previous down/feather duvet, the baffles on this duvet are superior as there are no cold spots along the seams and the down does not get compressed. In deciding the size, I went with Queen XL so the duvet hangs over the sides of the bed. I think this looks better, but this larger size adds length and weight to the edges of the duvet/cover so it's a bit more difficult to flip up the edge of the duvet/cover. The Queen would have also worked but again I was buying blindly so more was better. The duvet cover has a slick method for inserting the duvet as the cover opens on 3 sides and the snaps on the corners are easy to attach. The cloth and zipper on the duvet are substantial so this does add weight to the set up but not so much that it compresses or affects the duvet loft. The duvet/cover are easy to flick onto the bed and for fluffing, and I have not had any problems with the four corner snaps releasing. I wished there were a couple of additional snaps along the edges, but surprisingly having the attachments only at the corners does a good job of holding the duvet (my former duvet was a pain to get into and out of the cover). The cover washes up nicely. I wished that CDFC offered fabric swatches for their covers. I was nervous ordering the turquoise cover as the I liked the green color in the online picture but the last time I ordered turquoise that looked green it was more blue turquoise. Fortunately the photos online were a good rendition of the actual green turquoise color that I wanted. I considered buying the persimmon cover but I'm glad I did not as the picture made it look a bit too orange. I would have gladly paid for fabric swatches to get a preview of the covers colors. Overall, I'm so glad I finally made the leap to invest in this well made and cozy duvet and cover. I live in the US and shipping was fast and there was no importation problems or tax/customs required.

two years ago we purchased the same comforter in a King Size. We found just wasn't covering enough of the bed for the two of us to wrap ourselves around, so we decided to reinvest in the XL KING .. so glad we did, now no fighting/pulling the comforter, lots of coverage, perfect weight & warmth. Also purchased the Duvet Cover in the XL King, love the tabs that secure the comforter so doesn't slide down.. Wonderful Product !

I absolutely love this comforter! It is a perfect weight and warm without being dense (my bedroom is usually 63 - 65, maybe a touch colder in winter). It was a more expensive than other options but definitely worth it.
