We stand behind our products. All Canadian Down & Feather Company products feature a warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase, provided proper care is given to it and manufacturer's suggested care instructions have been followed.

Warranty Details

  • The warranty period varies by product. You can find the warranty period for your product on the product packaging or in the description on the product web-page.
  • The warranty is not transferable and limited to repair or replacement only and there are no other expressed and implied warranties.
  • The warranty does not cover shipping charges to Canadian Down & Feather Company. If product is repaired or replaced under warranty, Canadian Down & Feather Company will cover the cost of shipping back to the customer.
  • If the damage is determined by Canadian Down & Feather Company to be the result of normal wear and tear, an accident, or abuse then repairs may be made at a reasonable cost.

How do I register my warranty?

Every product is packaged with a warranty card which is printed with a unique product ID. You can fill out the warranty card and mail it to us at the address on the card. Alternatively, you may register your warranty online, by filling out the form on this page.

Here's where you can find the warranty card on the packaging, and where you can find the product ID on the warranty card:

It is important that you retain your original purchase receipt, warranty card, and any labels and/or packaging. You may be asked to present these in order to validate your warranty at time of service.

What is a manufacturing defect?

Any defect or damage caused by the manufacturer (that’s us!) qualifies as a manufacturing defect. It’s important to inspect your product carefully as soon as you receive it to identify any such defects. It’s also important to care for and protect your product as recommended. Failure to do so will invalidate the warranty. The warranty will also be rendered invalid should you choose to alter your product at home or with another service provider.

For example, unfinished or loose seams, a missing corner loop, an empty section of a duvet, or a significantly leaky shell would be manufacturing defects.
Issues caused by the customer such as normal wear and tear, spills, stains, rips, down shifting with use, or shrinkage in the washing machine, are not covered under warranty.

How do I make a warranty claim?

If your product is defective or damaged, please complete this form to begin your warranty claim.

Please provide your name, order number and a detailed description of the problem. Please also attach photos of the product that illustrate the issue as much as possible. It is very important that we receive notice of your claim via this form before we receive the product to ensure it is directed to the right person once it arrives.

Once we acknowledge receipt of the completed form, you may ship your product to us at 135 St. Regis Crescent South, Toronto, ON M3J 1Y6 Attn: Warranty Department. Your warranty does not cover inbound shipping. The customer is responsible for the shipping cost to Canadian Down & Feather Company.

Please consider the health & safety of our team when sending product back to our facility. We cannot handle product that is dirty or soiled. Product should be reasonably clean and in good condition. Product in soiled condition will not be processed and will be returned to the customer. If in doubt, please have your product cleaned professionally prior to sending it to us.

We will inspect your product and notify you of the resolution. If a manufacturing defect is identified, we will repair or replace the product and ship the product back to you at our cost. If the damage is determined by Canadian Down & Feather Company to be the result of normal wear and tear, an accident, or abuse, we may offer to repair the product at a reasonable cost and the return shipping will be paid by the customer.

Please make sure that you have registered your product(s) for warranty before making a claim. If you haven't registered your product, please do so below.
